Day 2 Activity: Can you guess the shape of the week? The shape of the week is a 3D shape The shape of the week has 6 faces The shape of the week has 8 corners / vertices The shape of the week has 12 edges The shape of the week is a cuboid. Activity: Can you make a cuboid? How many cuboids can you find in your house? |
Day 3 Activity halving: Can you find objects, food, items to share between two? Give your child 6 objects and explain you are going to share the objects equally between each plate, you are then going to find out what is half? Reiterate as you share to find half you need two equal sides. Repeat for different amounts. Try an odd amount of objects encourage children to find solutions/reason their answers.

Day 5 Activity halving: Halving toys challenge What does half mean? Are you sure you have half? How can you check? What do you notice about both halves? For an extra challenge use an odd number of toys – what could you do now?
